MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Prime Pubs unveiled its new prototype in Kitchener, Ont., which brings the brand back to its roots with an authentic Irish concept.

“Our goal was to start the pub experience before a guest even enters the front door, so the new design features the unique exterior characteristics of an Irish pub, including a colourful and welcoming façade that is typical of pubs across the pond,” said says Grant Cobb, senior vice-president, Brand Management for Prime Restaurants Inc.

The design, conceptualized by Burlington, Ont.-based firm McMillan Design, is a standalone prototype that incorporates traditional elements of Irish pubs, including brightly coloured wood with a brick-and-stucco exterior. The 4,300-square-foot prototype also includes an outside patio for the summer months and live entertainment.

Supporting the brand’s expansion strategy, new Prime Pubs will mirror the new prototype. Owned by Prime Restaurants Inc., Fionn MacCool’s Kitchener, the first prototype, is located in the Deer Ridge Corporation Centre in Kitchener.
