VANCOUVER — The $45,000 bottle number 68 of The Balvenie Fifty cask 4567 will be released for sale at the BC Liquor Store, Cambie Store location in Vancouver on Jan. 12. The limited edition bottle is one of only 131 in the world and will be the only one made available in Canada.

“On the rare occasions that scotch whisky is left in cask to mature for 50 years, there is no guarantee it will turn out to be a great single malt,” says Elizabeth Havers, the Balvenie brand ambassador in Canada. “In the case of The Balvenie Fifty, malt master David Stewart has created a unique combination of natural alchemy and centuries-old craftsmanship, and we are delighted to know that this expression will find a loving home here in Canada.”

Fifty is an extremely rare release characterized by its reddish hues, dark fruits and spice with a deep and lingering fruity sweetness on the tongue.
