WINNIPEG — Winnipeg’s renowned Raw:Almond pop-up is coming to Manitoba’s Riding Mountain National Park this fall.
For Raw:Wasagaming — which will take place from September 29 to October 14 — Raw:Almond co-founder, chef Mandel Hitzer, will create a 20-course meal featuring ingredients from across Manitoba. The menu will also feature alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage pairings.
“Being connected to the land and focusing on Manitoba terroir has been a huge inspiration for me this past year,” says Hitzer. “Our menu is designed to take us out of our comfort zone and push us into exploring new flavours, new techniques and new ideas about Manitoba ingredients.”
The Raw:Wasagaming experience will see attendees travel from the Wasagaming marina by boat to Camp Kippechewin, where they will be met by Parks Canada guides who lead a brief night hike and introduction to the land before arriving at the restaurant.
