Redberry Acquires 32 More Burger King Restaurants

TORONTO — Redberry Investments Inc., the Quebec-based foodservice corporation that recently acquired master franchisee rights to Burger King in Canada, announced it completed a $20-million deal to acquire 32 more Burger King restaurants in Ontario from Heartland Food LLC.

“Since launching in 2005, Redberry has increased the number of restaurants we operate by 970 per cent, positioning the company as an important player in Canada’s foodservice industry,” said Christian LeBrun, GM of Redberry Investments Inc. “Future investments planned by the company in the coming years will total more than $90 million.”

In April, the company announced plans to remodel its Burger King units in Canada as well as introduce new menu items and broaden its marketing and communications.
