TORONTO — Redberry Restaurants is opening the second Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Jersey Mike’s Subs at 808 York Mills Road in Toronto on October 23. The company opened the first of 300 Jersey Mike’s restaurants in Markham, Ont. in August.
To celebrate, the company will hold a grand opening and fundraiser from October 23 to 27 to support Make-A-Wish Canada.
“We’re thrilled to continue to expand in the GTA and are looking forward to joining the York Mills community after the excitement around our Markham opening,” says Ken Otto, CEO, Redberry. “Our energetic teams are working hard to give Torontonians the chance to taste for themselves why Jersey Mike’s is truly A Sub Above.”
The Markham and York Mills openings are the first of six initial new locations in development in Ontario. By the end of the year, Redberry will open in Toronto’s Union Station as well as Brantford, Guelph and Pickering, Ont. These six locations will employ nearly 100 crew members. Redberry also owns two existing and recently re-modelled Jersey Mike’s locations in Kitchener and London, Ont.
