TORONTO — Reds Wine Tavern, formerly Reds Bistro and Wine Bar, has reopened at 77 Adelaide St. W., in Toronto with its new name, new decor and new executive chef Ryan Gallagher.
“The new Reds Wine Tavern redefines social dining with culinary confidence and an engaging decor,” reads the new website of the redefined space that features exposed brink and communal wooden tables.
Gallagher, a Top Chef Canada season-two contestant, has introduced a menu with a variety of sharable plates, including black-bean calamari ($10.95), lobster guacamole ($17.95), angus beef and quail egg tartar ($14.95). The menu offers fish and curries of the day along with tavern plates such as chicken pot pie with fois gras gravy ($17.95) and buttermilk fried chicken ($17.95).
Meanwhile, sommelier Jasmine Black is available to help customers choose among 350 wines by the bottle and 77 wines by the glass.
