Today’s restaurant goers are increasingly interested in knowing where their food comes from. Data and technology are critical to improving global food systems and play a vital role in helping ofi make real its Purpose to ‘Be the change for good food and a healthy future’.

ofi developed its sustainability insights platform AtSource to improve supply-chain transparency and make sustainability projects more effective and efficient.  “We are constantly improving data and insights to provide visibility across the supply chain,” says Roel van Poppel, CEO of AtSource. “The granularity of AtSource data allows customers to understand and act on the sustainability issues specific to their supply chains. They have the information they need to make the change with us and drive their own sustainability efforts.”

This collaborative approach is the core of ofi’s AtSource Infinity programs, which bring together customers, governments, and other stakeholders to deliver landscape-level change. One example of this in action is a circular coffee project in Peru, launched in 2020 by ofi in partnership with the coffee roaster, the farmer cooperative, civil society partner Solidaridad, and the Wildlife and Forestry division of the Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture (SERFOR). The initiative aims to boost production at farm level, reduce waste, protect ecosystems within the farm, whilst delivering economic benefits to producers.
