MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Mississauga-based restaurant-construction company, Build It, has launched the #buildittogether initiative to help local restaurants, frontline workers, food banks and those in need.

The company has been purchasing large food orders from local restaurants to support them and sending them to hospitals and food banks across the city. To date, the initiative has provided more than 500 fresh meals and treats from local restaurants such as Basil Box, Masrawy Kitchen, Krispy Kreme and celebrity chef Matt Basile of Fidel Gatro’s.

#buildittogether’s newest partnership with Food Dudes will result in more than 60 meals being delivered to Providence Healthcare and Build It has also teamed up with Chef on Call to provide more than 90 meals to people in need.
So far, the initiative has delivered food in Ontario to Trillium Mississauga, Mount Sinai Toronto, Brampton Civic Hospital, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Mississauga Food Bank, Eden for Change and Salvation Army Brampton.

A new campaign, raisedays.com/covid19/buildit, was also launched to raise awareness going for as long as it’s needed.
