Restaurant Buzz: Bar Kismet

HALIFAX — Bar Kismet — a seafood-driven restaurant — has joined Halifax’s Agricola Street dining scene.

Owned by Jenner Cormier and Annie Brace-Lavoie, the 30-seat restaurant offers a menu that highlights locally-sourced seafood, local vegetables and a rotating selection of handmade pasta.

Dinners will find such menu items as charbroiled oysters with parmesan and garlic butter ($20/six); Ahi Tartar and Allumettes Fries ($15); Smoked Arctic Char with potatoes and crème fraiche ($13); whole grilled branzino, with tomatoes, olives and dandelion greens ($29); ricotta gnocchi with gorgonzola dolce and burnt walnut ($19); and sea urchin carbonara ($21).
