Popular Southeast Asian eatery Longtail Kitchen reopened January 18. The New Westminster restaurant temporarily closed in October 2018 to merge with its nearby sister eatery in the River Market, Freebird Chicken Shack.
Diners can expect a new rotisserie machine, a revamped retail section for groceries and the slow introduction of signature menu items from both establishments, such as the classic rotisserie chicken, turmeric-fried chicken, Chinese-style soy chicken, chicken pho and Hainan chicken.
Longtail is also planning to introduce weekend roasts that will go beyond just chicken, along with rotating features incorporating laksa, boat noodles and dishes such as the holy basil stir fry with crispy century egg.
