Amir Toledano, formerly of Fuego Steakhouse and Myst Café, has opened his newest venture in St. Laurent. Built for $1.2 million, the owner-designed upscale eatery offers white-linen service sans attitude. The menu by chef Jimmy Tsouklas is as vast as the space, which seats 100 inside and 55 on the covered patio. The Italian-steakhouse fare pairs continental classics, such as braised lamb risotto with garlic, caramelized onions and arugula ($28) and Kansas-cut cowboy steak ($68 for 20 oz). Gnocchi poutine with braised lamb and Porto gravy ($18) melds Toledano’s Italian heritage with the popular Quebec mainstay.
