Offering a family-friendly feel, the Norseman Bar and Grill in Sydney, N.S. is Cape Breton’s hub for homemade food, music and drinks.
“I want this to be an atmosphere where everyone can come in and feel comfortable … an all-ages place, a respectful place where grandparents will feel comfortable bringing their grandkids. It’s not for the drinking, rowdy crowd,” says owner Glenn Ross in an interview the Cape Breton Post.
Located inside the Martin Arms Hotel on Kings Road in Sydney, Ross’ approach to cooking is a unique one. “If someone orders sweet potato fries, I take a potato, skin it, cut it and cook it … my (regular) fries are already known as really good.”
The restaurant also features a gaming area with an Xbox and PlayStation, as well as a charging station for devices.
