TORONTO — Consumer food magazine Ricardo has premiered in English for the first time in Canada.

The French edition of the cooking and lifestyle magazine, Ricardo, launched in 2002. The magazine is based on the culinary endeavours of celebrity chef Ricardo Larrivée, host of the Food Network’s Ricardo and Friends. “This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” said Larrivée. “We believe men and women from Victoria to St. John’s are hungry for Canadian content that brings their families together in the kitchen and around the table, enables them to save time and money, teaches them healthy eating habits and even helps them contribute to their local communities.”

Published six times a year, Ricardo will be distributed to major retailers across the country. The 164-page fall issue offers recipes and features focused on Thanksgiving meals, apple pie, chocolate-chip cookies, potatoes, vegetarian dishes and tofu. The magazine also offers a Ricardo for Kids section, a weekly menu planner and a section for readers with dietary restrictions.
