NEW YORK — Eater recently released its Where to Eat in 2020 list, which marks the platform’s first-ever list detailing the most dynamic food cities in the world.

Richmond, B.C. was the only Canadian city featured on the list of 19 culinary destinations. The city was heralded as “the best place to eat Chinese food in North America, hands down.”

To accompany the list, Eater also compiled a list of “The 22 Essential Restaurants in Richmond.” Among the featured spots is Lamajoun, Golden Paramount Seafood Restaurant, Richmond Public Market, Xing Fu Tang and Origo Club.

The list was created with input from Eater’s network of culinary experts around the world, as well as on-the-ground research and local input. Other destinations featured on the list included George Town, Malaysia; Monterrey, Mexico; Oakland, Calif.; and Porto, Portugal. The complete list is available at eater.com.
