OLIVER, B.C. — WineAlign has released the results of the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada, which named Road 13 Vineyards the number-1 winery in B.C. and Canada.
“We are so delighted with this win,” says Joseph Luckhurst, managing partner with Road 13. “Our team’s tireless dedication to excellence has really paid off, as has following our passion for Rhone-style wines.”
Road 13 also received a platinum medal for its 2016 Roussanne, along with 14 additional awards — eight gold, two silver and four bronze — for its portfolio of red, white, sparkling and rosé wines.
This year’s National Wine Awards of Canada was the largest competition in the history of the Canadian wine industry, with 1,850 entries from 257 different wineries from seven provinces.
Held annually in June, the wine awards are only open to wines grown and produced in Canada. Road 13 Vineyards is the only winery in in the country to win both platinum and a Top-10 national spot for six consecutive years.
