Ryan Bullock Joins Juliet Creative as Partner, President

TORONTO — Ryan Bullock has joined Juliet Creative, a full-service advertising agency with offices in Toronto and Los Angeles, as its new partner/president.

Bullock brings vast knowledge of the hospitality sector to his new role. Prior to joining Juliet Creative, Bullock was president of The Burger’s Priest. Before that, he spent eight years as the Chief Marketing Officer for The Keg. He also has experience in advertising with Maclaren MRM and KBS+.

With Bullock joining, Juliet Creative can expand on its restaurant and QSR experience, which has included Milestones and The Burger’s Priest in recent years, and gain valuable perspective about where advertising fits within an organization, as well as considerations beyond marketing that come with running and leading a business.

“We all collectively see things the same,” says Ryan Spelliscy, founder of Juliet Creative. “We believe that this industry has never been more disconnected from the real world and in some cases its client partners. Too much time is being spent on Google search bars, [and] not enough with the actual audiences. When was the last time your agency worked as a server in one of your restaurants or in the back of house of your QSR chain or spent the day truly getting to know one of your customers?”

“I spent the last 10 years on the other side of the table,” says Bullock. “Nothing was more frustrating to me than reviewing creative that was not grounded in a deeper understanding of my business. With that in mind, we are going to roll up our sleeves and go deep to truly understand our client partners, their audiences and their businesses. And we believe the only way to do that is to put in more effort to actually ‘touch the dirt’, so to speak.”
