VANCOUVER — Chef Alex Chen has set forth on a new venture with the upcoming opening of the Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar in Vancouver’s Sutton Place Hotel.
The 290-seat restaurant, which is set to open in July, features a dining room, oyster bar, craft-cocktail and champagne bar as well as a vintage-style lounge, private dining space and wrap-around patio. Executive chef Alex Chen, who most recently served as a culinary architect at Moxie’s Grill & Bar, has designed a menu that spotlights seafood, featuring locally sourced, West Coast fare and international culinary influences.
The restaurant team comprises Roger Ma, chef de cuisine; Jason Pitschke, pastry chef; Steve Edwards, director of Operations; Brian Hopkins, maître d’; Lisa Haley, wine director; and Justin Taylor, bar manager.
Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as late-night service and weekend brunch.
