Second Cup Revamps Tea Program


TORONTO — Second Cup has launched a line of Rainforest Alliance Certified whole-leaf teas and herbal tisanes, aiming to create a better taste profile for customers.

“We are proud to offer a more premium, better tasting tea that is sustainably resourced while contributing to a better customer experience,” said Stacey Mowbray, president and CEO of the chain.

“Our company has fully embraced the opportunity to align our teas to the same quality standards of our brewed coffee. Our entire staff is now certified Tea Experts; they have all participated in our new tea training module to help better serve our tea-drinking devotees.”

The new line of tea is packaged in a pyramid bag; flavours include Wildberry, Chai, English Breakfast, English Breakfast Decaf, Earl Grey, Green, Jasmine, Mint and Chamomile.

The launch of the new tea line will be promoted through new TV commercials and a Social Media campaign.
