SIAL Canada Wraps Up Day Two

MONTREAL — On April 21, SIAL Canada wrapped up day two of its international food and beverage tradeshow, which welcomes more than 1,200 national and international exhibitors from 50 countries hosting more than 25,000 buyers from Canada, the U.S. and 60 other countries.

The day featured a start-up pitch competition where 17 companies pitched their concept in only three minutes in front of the jury. BY2048 won the first prize in the food and beverage category and Prévu 3D won first place in the technology and services category.

Additionally, the jury named Cows Creamery as the grand champion of the International Cheese Competition. The Inspire Drink space offered the public coffee and non-alcoholic cocktails and the “From Our Table to Yours” workshop featured chef Marissa Leon-John, private chef at Elle Jay’s Private Dining and Events and former contestant from MasterChef Canada seasons five and seven.
