SIR Corp. Reports Revenue Growth

BURLINGTON, Ont. — SIR Corp. was able to grow revenue in the past year by 1.1 per cent to $269.8 million, but in the past quarter revenue fell 7.4 per cent to $88.7 million.

Overall, same-store sales decreased 2.5 per cent for the year. By brand, Jack Astor’s declined 2.6 per cent, followed by Canyon Creek (down 1.3 per cent); Alice Fazooli’s/Scaddabush (down 0.6 per cent); and Signature Restaurants, which include Far Niente, Four and Petit Four (down 4.3 per cent).

During the past fiscal year, SIR Corp. opened two new Jack Astor’s restaurants in Ottawa. It also renovated a Canyon Creek restaurant, two Jack Astor’s restaurants and converted an Alice Fazooli’s into a Scaddabush in Richmond Hill, Ont. It no longer owns or operates the seasonal Duke’s Refresher in Muskoka, Ont.

In the coming year, the team plans to open two new Scaddabush restaurants and renovate two Jack Astor’s locations, while converting the two remaining Alice Fazooli’s to the Scaddabush brand by the end of 2016.
