WINNIPEG — SkipTheDishes is pulling out of the U.S. market after entering an agreement to transition operations of its six U.S. markets to its Chicago-based competitor Grubhub.

According to WKBW Buffalo, Buffalo-based partner restaurants were informed that SkipTheDishes would be exiting the U.S. market via email on April 2. The email also reportedly noted that the company was integrating with Grubhub.

The Winnipeg-based, Just Eat Group-owned company had established a presence in Buffalo, N.Y.; Omaha, Neb.; St. Louis, Mo.; and Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus in Ohio.

SkipTheDishes has not disclosed details of its deal with Grubhub, but a spokesperson told CBC News that more details will be released “closer to completing the transition.”
