VANCOUVER — SkipTheDishes is now offering liquor delivery to consumers in Vancouver through its restaurant-delivery platform.
Vancouverites will be the first in Canada to access SkipTheDishes’ liquor delivery through a downloadable app or the SkipTheDishes.com website. A GPS order tracker will enable customers to track their order from pick-up to delivery.
“We’ve noticed that of all Canadians, Vancouverites tend to be early adopters of technology — especially mobile tech that saves time and offers this level of convenience,” says Andrew Chau, co-founder and Liquor Delivery lead for SkipTheDishes. “We deliver more restaurant meals than anyone in the city, so it made perfect sense to add liquor stores to our network. Now you can order a meal and your favourite bottle of wine all within the SkipTheDishes app.”
The SkipTheDishes app is available for iOS or Android. Customers can also go to the SkipTheDishes website and input their address to get a list of liquor stores that deliver to them.
The company currently offers delivery services in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and Surrey. SkipTheDishes plans to expand to more areas in B.C. throughout the summer and roll-out liquor delivery to other Canadian markets in coming months.
