TORONTO — Smart Serve’s online training program is now available in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Last spring, the group, which provides alcohol service training, introduced a new platform that incorporates audio and visual learning into its online modules. The addition of other languages comes in response to the changing demographics across Ontario.

“After English, Mandarin and Cantonese are the second- and third-largest language groups taking the Smart Serve training,” explains George Schmalz, chairman of the organization. “Anything we can do to help these applicants learn and retain the responsible alcohol service curriculum, we must do.”

The new online training program aims to make alcohol service education programs more accessible.
