Smashburger Hires Director of Franchise Sales; Plans Further Canadian Expansion

DENVER — Smashburger is planning further Canadian expansion with Audria Wosik as the new director of Franchise Sales.

“Canada is an important growth market for us. Canadians understand what better burgers are all about and appreciate how Smashburger has defined this segment with our fresh, never frozen beef patties, our premium toppings are our ability to customize a menu based on regional locations,” said David Prokupek, chairman and CEO of Smashburger.

“We have lots of demand for our burgers in Canada. That is why we brought Audra Wosik on board. Her experience in the franchise industry will help us identify the right partners and develop markets designed to fuel our growth here.”

Wosik brings more than 20 years’s experience in the franchise industry and a solid understanding of operations, marketing, real estate and sales.

The company entered the Canadian market last year with the opening of two restaurants in Calgary and further plans to open locations in Edmonton, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec between now and the end of 2014.
