ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Pizza and delivery point-of-sale developer SpeedLine Solutions Inc. has launched SpeedDine — a new online-ordering app for restaurants.
The new app allows restaurants to offer their customers a branded app for ordering on both Android and iOS devices. With the restaurant’s app on the customer’s phone, customers don’t need to search online for its website and risk being usurped by a competitor.
Similar to the SpeedDine online-ordering sites, each SpeedDine App pulls all pricing and tax information from the point-of-sale terminal in the store, so it’s always accurate. Then, orders are sent directly to the restaurant. Orders are processed through the SpeedLine point-of-sale system and routed to printers or kitchen displays as though the order was placed in-store. Point-of-sale reports automatically include all orders placed from the SpeedDine app.
SpeedLine’s CEO and president John deWolde says the new app will open doors for SpeedLine’s customers. “We’re very excited to offer this technology. Now, independent and multi-unit restaurants are able to offer their customers the same level of technology as the large chains.”
