LAVAL, Que. — The Laval, Que.-based St-Hubert restaurant chain has a new president and CEO. Former Quebecor CEO Robert Dépatie was appointed to lead the company beginning in February; he will replace Jean-Pierre Léger.

Dépatie previously spent more than 10 years with Quebecor, leading the growth in Videotron, where sales increased from $800 million to $2.5 billion. He’s also held positions in the foodservice and retail industries, including Heinz Canada and Planters/Le Marquis.

“I’m proud to take over the reins of one of the most admired companies in Quebec. I intend to put all my energy and convictions to further strengthen the trust between St-Hubert and the people from here. I am committed to creating value and putting our customers and our talents at the centre of all decisions, while continuing to cherish the social commitment that the Léger family has brilliantly developed with the Quebec society over the past 63 years,” said Dépatie.

St-Hubert has more than 100 units in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick. Its retail division manufactures and distributes products under the St-Hubert brand, including sauces, soups, ribs, meat pies and chicken pot pies.
