SEATTLE — The Starbucks ownership team is expanding its quick-service portfolio with La Boulange, a new dining concept, which will cater to the dinner crowd.

Starbucks originally purchased the San-Francisco bakery-chain, La Boulange, in 2012. The bakeries cater to the breakfast and lunch crowd, with a focus on sandwiches and soups. The new expanded concept will be located on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. The restaurant will serve pastries, salads, sandwiches, build-your-own-burgers and an assortment of alcoholic beverages. It will close at 10 p.m.

La Boulange is scheduled to open June 11. Meanwhile, Starbucks has introduced a new evening menu, which includes items such as a Grilled Vegetable Plate and Bacon-wrapped Dates with Balsamic Glaze.
