Starbucks Canada Offers Vaccine Pay and Expands COVID-19 Benefits

TORONTO — Starbucks Canada has introduced an update on vaccine pay and expanded COVID-19 benefits for Canadian partners as part of its commitment to prioritizing employee safety through the pandemic.

These updates include providing employees with up to four hours of paid time off to get the COVID-19 vaccine (two hours per dose). The company has also introduced expedited CUP (Caring Unites Partners) Fund grants for COVID-19 pandemic relief, which provides grants (up to $500) for partners experiencing financial hardship. Self-isolation pay has also been extended through Q3 2021, accommodating two instances of self-isolation.

Starbucks remains committed to maintaining ongoing safety protocols in every store, including mandatory facial coverings, increased cleaning, pre-checks, shields and guards.
