Starbucks Offers Coconut Milk in Canada

TORONTO — In response to customer feedback, Starbucks will soon be offering its Canadian customers the option to customize their beverages with coconut milk in company-operated and licensed locations coast-to-coast.

First launched in U.S. Starbucks locations in February, Starbucks’ vegan certified Single Origin Sumatra Coconut Milk will be available to Canadian customers starting Sept. 8. This new product will add to the “milk” options already offered at the chain including soy milk, two per cent, non-fat, whole milk, half-and-half and (in some areas) lactose-free milk.

“We love to innovate and co-create with our partners and customers,” said Kevin Reid, director of Food and Beverage at Starbucks Canada. “Our customers told us they want to be able to customize their Starbucks beverages with alternatives to dairy and soy milk — in fact it is the second-most popular request of all time on mystarbucksidea.com.”

Other innovations inspired by the My Starbucks Idea customer engagement platform include the Mini Frappuccino, Caffeine-Free Oprah Chai Herbal Blend and Starbucks Cold Brew.
