TORONTO — Following what the Starbucks Canada team believes was a successful launch in Toronto in October, the company’s Mobile Order & Pay — whereby customers order ahead, pay and pick up their purchases — will become available at 130 stores in the Vancouver area as early as Jan. 19.
“The simple convenience of Mobile Order & Pay means customers can bypass the line,” says Jessica Mills, director of Brand and Digital, Starbucks Canada. “We know that sometimes our customers have to choose between going to Starbucks and making their next meeting or appointment. This represents a significant opportunity for us to enhance the customer experience and save our busy customers some time.”
Mobile payments represent 18 per cent of all in-store transactions in Starbucks in Canada.
