ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Students at Memorial University of Newfoundland’s St. John’s campus want to add a Pizza Pizza to its menu, according to The Telegram.
Business student Youhanna Phelopes, says the campus is a prime location and believes the timing is perfect — the university is reportedly not renewing its lease with MTY Food Group. “I’m hoping [the university] would give us this chance; I’m sure students would support it,” says Phelopes.
Phelopes partner and engineering student Andrew Eskandar is also contributing funds for the start-up. “The risk is high, but we think we can do it,” says Eskandar.
The university has said it wants to conduct a survey of the university community to see what type of foodservice would fit before making any commitments [thetelegram.com].
