TORONTO — Subway Canada is partnering with Daily Bread Food Bank and Food Banks Canada to create an interactive and immersive pop-up experience that showcases the evolution of food banks.

The experience will teach guests about the history of food bank banks and debunk common perceptions that surround food bank offerings by allowing them to walk the aisles. Guests will also discover some of the wholesome and fresh offerings provided by food banks.

Subway Canada will also be launching a two-week donation drive, during which for every meal purchased — sandwich, drink and side — a meal will be donated to Food Banks Canada. Subway Canada’s campaign goal is to donate two million meals.

The pop-up will be open November 2 and 3 at 322 Queen St. W., as part of Subway Canada’s World Sandwich Day initiatives.
