INDIA — Subway India franchisees are sponsoring and participating in a charitable “Pimp-My-Tuk-Tuk” week-long event to raise money for The Singapore Children’s Charity and Round Table India organization, both of which are dedicated to helping the less fortunate.
“Twenty-two starters in 11 customized Tuk Tuks have committed themselves to a week of excitement, trepidation, and no doubt some pain, hurtling across the land of the Maharajahs — India’s spectacular subcontinent.”
Teams will begin the Tuk Tuk ride at a Subway restaurant in Chennai, with stops at orphanages and schools in Vellore, Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore and Murudeshwara. The volunteers will deliver clothes, toys and school supplies, before the Tuk Tuk motorcade makes its final stop at a Subway restaurant in Goa.
