MILFORD, Conn. — Suzanne Greco, who began her career at Subway as a sandwich artist in 1973, has been named president of the company.

“Suzanne has accomplished a great deal with Subway and I know there are many more terrific things to come,” said Fred DeLuca, founder, CEO, Subway. “I have always been impressed with Suzanne’s relentless desire to make continuous improvements to our products and customer experience. She is always looking for ways to make our business even better. Together with our development agents and franchisees, I’m looking forward to working closely with Suzanne in her new role.”

Suzanne has been part of the Subway team since the first store opened as a family business nearly 50 years ago. For 24 years, she led the research and development team and worked to improve the menu and customer experience. In 2012 Suzanne began overseeing the operations department and her responsibilities expanded again earlier this year when she began overseeing the marketing department.

In her new role, Suzanne will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and will continue to report directly to Subway founder and CEO, Fred DeLuca.
