KELOWNA, B.C. — Summerhill Pyramid Winery has received a perfect 100-point score and a Double Gold medal from the prestigious San Francisco International Wine Competition for its 2013 ‘Small Lot’ Semillon Icewine.
“Summerhill Pyramid Organic Winery and Bistro has been honoured with perhaps the two most significant awards in the wine industry worldwide, proving once again that organic is the way to be,” says Stephen Cipes, founder and proprietor of Summerhill. “In May of this year, Summerhill was named the number one wine at the Chardonnay du Monde Competition in France, with more than 750 entries from 38 countries. Just last week, another wine won Double Gold and 100 points in San Francisco, with 4200 entries from 31 countries around the world.”
The Kelowna, B.C.-based winery is Canada’s largest certified-organic winery and B.C.’s first Demeter-certified biodynamic vineyard.
