TORONTO — Monarch & Misfits has opened its newest Sweet Jesus franchise at the Southgate Centre in Edmonton — marking the brand’s first location in Alberta and the start of its expansion into Western Canada.
The first Sweet Jesus unit opened in downtown Toronto in 2015 and since its inception has quickly grown to include 12 Canadian locations (three seasonal), as well as one U.S. location (Baltimore) and a Sweet Salvation location in Dubai. An additional Edmonton location is also slated to open at the West Edmonton Mall.
Sweet Jesus features hand-crafted, chef-inspired “pimped-out” soft-serve ice cream, with flavours such as Cookies Cookies Cookies & Cream, Bangin Brownie, Rocky-Road Rage and Lemon Coconut-Cream Pie. The menu also features milkshakes and an assortment of hot and cold beverages.
