TORONTO — Now in its 28th year, Taste Canada has released its shortlist for the 2025 awards, which highlights Canadian-authored cookbooks, spanning traditional recipe books to culinary narratives, regional cultural cuisines and health, lifestyle and special diet cookbooks. These books reflect the diverse voices and flavours that shape Canada’s food identity and preserve culinary heritage for generations to come.
With help from a dedicated jury, comprised of volunteers from across Canada’s culinary industry, Taste Canada has announced 43 titles that have made it onto the 2025 shortlist, across five book categories in both English and French. These works are now officially in the running for a Gold or Silver Taste Canada award.
