TORONTO ― The Taste Canada-The Food Writing Awards has released its shortlist of Canadian culinary authors in contention for this year’s awards.
The list features three English and three French titles for each of the award’s five categories, including a new award in the Food Blog Category: Best Post.
“This year’s submissions are a wonderful reflection of the varied landscape in Canadian food,” said Donna Dooher, national chair of Taste Canada. “They speak to our culture, our history, our locally grown ingredients, and our Canadian identity.”
The winners of the awards will be announced on Sept. 21 at The Gala Fundraiser and Reception hosted by past Taste Canada winners chefs Ricardo and Vikram Vij.
At the gala, Taste Canada will also name the recipients of this year’s Hall of Fame Awards.
