TORONTO ― Organizers of Toronto’s upcoming Terroir Symposium have announced the launch of a series of four collaborative dinners, featuring international chefs on May 12 and 13.

Terroir’s partner, Samuel Adams Brewery, will serve beer as part of the following chef dinners.

May 12: An Ode to Beef, The Saint, $85
– chef Jesse Vallins, featuring chef Richard Turner (Hawksmoor, London, U.K.) and Matthew von Teichman of Grandview Farms

May 12: Taste of Newfoundland, Beast, $90
– chefs Shaun Hussey and Michelle LeBlanc (Chinched Bistro), chef Mike Barksy (Bacalao), Terrence and chef Courtney Howell (Grates Cove Café), chef Katie Hayes (Bonavista Social Club) and Five Brothers Cheese with chef Scott Vivian (Beast)

May 13: (Re)Discovering Flavour, Jump, $120
– chefs Anthony Walsh and Luke Kennedy (Jump), featuring chef Jair Tellez (MeroToro) and Mark Shatzker, author of The Dorito Effect

May 13: New Taiwanese, Kanpai Snack Bar, $50
– chefs Ike Huang and Trevor Lui, featuring chef Tawfik Shehata (The International Centre), chef Nuit Regular (Pai and Sukho Thai) and Jim Poris, former editor of Food Arts Magazine, N.Y.C.

Speakers for the Symposium — which will be held at Toronto’s Arcadian Court May 11 — were announced earlier this year.
