TORONTO — The Culinary Tourism Alliance (CTA) is debuting an outdoor event series called Feast On the Farm. The ticketed events can accommodate up to 50 people, allowing them to indulge in culinary creations by notable chefs in the province. The event series also aims to support tourism recovery efforts with its Great Taste of Ontario program.

The consumer series will support tourism recovery while the industry series will include a mix of discussions and workshops about sustainable production and consumption, food waste, sourcing sustainable lake fish and aquaculture and providing good jobs.

“The effects on the pandemic have been devastating to the tourism and hospitality industries. We have an opportunity to re-build in ways that contribute meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” says Rebecca Mackenzie, president and CEO of CTA. “Our goal with these events is to get back to safe in-person events that showcase the very best of Ontario’s local culinary talent and tastes of place while supporting the sustainable recovery and growth of our local culinary tourism industry.”

Tickets for the events are available at Ontario Culinary’s website, and attendees must show proof of full vaccination upon entry.
