TORONTO — The team behind Toronto’s Drake hotel is expanding its portfolio, preparing to open Drake 150, an independent restaurant in the city.
The restaurant’s bare-bones website reveals that the new location will be housed in a post-modern office building.
“The extraordinarily light-filled, street-front space is being transformed from its previous incarnation as a commercial bank in the heart of Toronto’s financial district to a cultural hub playing homage to all things Drake,” reads a statement on the website. “Drake 150 is in part a playfully vintage dining room, part bespoke bar, part curated art space, part Drake general store.”
No word yet on when the resto will open or what the menu include, but the company announced Ted Corrado as the brand’s new corporate executive chef.
