The Grid: Hoof Raw Bar, Hoof Cafe Closed

TORONTO — Toronto’s Hoof Raw Bar — and weekend brunch pop-up, Hoof Café — is closed, reports The Grid.

The Café and the Raw Bar were great, but they didn’t see their potential in the space,” Jen Agg, the owner, was quoted as saying by The Grid.

According to The Grid, Agg plans to open a Haitian-inspired restaurant called Rhum Corner, which will serve staples such as fish, pork belly and rice and beans, with a focus on higher-end rums such as Rhum Barbancourt, Ron Zacapa and Havana Club 7. The menu will be overseen by chef Jesse Grasso of The Black Hoof and managed by Chris White, formerly of Grand Electric. The new restaurant is slated to open in September. [The Grid]
