The Keg Reports Gross Sales Increase

VANCOUVER — The Keg Royalties Income Fund announced its second quarter results, reporting a 5.4-per-cent increase in gross sales year over year.

The company, which operates 102 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada, reported gross sales of $118.5 million for the three months ended June 30, up $6.1 million from the same period last year.

Same-store sales in Canadian restaurants were up 1.3 per cent for the 13-week period ended July 1. For the 26-week period ended July 1, same-store sales increased by 1.5 per cent in Canada.

“We are extremely pleased with the financial results for the second quarter,” said David Aisenstat, president and CEO of Keg Restaurants Ltd. “With continued growth in both gross sales and same-store sales, The Keg continues to demonstrate its leadership in the restaurant business in Canada.”
