TORONTO — Toronto’s Real Jerk restaurant that closed its original location due to a landlord dispute, has turned to crowd funding to bring its old mural to its new space.
“We are raising $2,450 to create a photographic mural that captures the essence of the old Real Jerk Restaurant at the new location, 625 Queen St. E.,” reads a description of the campaign on the crowd-sourcing site, indiegogo.com.
Ed and Lily Pottinger are hoping the hype and media attention from its public fight with the former landlord will attract attention and donations. As of today, Real Jerk has raised $500.
