OAKVILLE — The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro is spreading Christmas cheer, with news it will donate $1 from every Festive Turkey Burger and 50 cents from every Candy Cane Coconut Raspberry Swirl Shake — both from the holiday menu — to support local charities.
“The Works ‘Generous-Helping-to-Generously–Help’ campaign is a guilt-free indulgence to benefit local families with a side of holiday favourites,” said Andy O’Brien, president and CEO of The Works.
“Savour a delicious Festive Turkey Burger, topped with as-good-as-mom-makes stuffing, gravy, a side of cheerful cranberry and a cool classic Candy Cane Coconut Raspberry Swirl Shake to put you in the holiday spirit.”
The campaign runs until Jan. 6. The money raised will support food banks in the 16 communities that the company operates.
