LONDON — The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, has unveiled its list of restaurants ranked numbers 51 through 100 ahead of the annual awards ceremony taking place on July 18 in London. The annual list is created by a gender-balanced voting panel comprising 1,080 independent authorities in the world of gastronomy.
The 51 to 100 list includes 20 new entries from 15 different cities, as well as restaurants in 22 territories across six continents — 14 establishments are from Asia, 13 from Europe, 11 from North America, two from the Middle East, two from Africa, one from Oceania and seven from South America. Restaurants from five new destinations have been added, including Argentina, China, Germany, Singapore and UAE compared to last year’s 51-100 list. The highest new entry is Trèsind Studio, Dubai, UAE at number 57.
“We’re thrilled to see 20 new entries join the extended list,” says William Drew, director of content for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. “It’s great to celebrate a wide range of restaurants and the teams behind them as the gastronomic world continues to recover and rebuild following the huge challenges faced during the pandemic.”
