OAKVILLE, Ont. — Jennifer Brown of Glencoe, Ont., is taking home the $10,000 prize money after winning the Tim Hortons Duelling Donut contest with her Love Reese’s to Pieces creation.
“The second year of Tim Hortons Duelling Donuts contest has been a real treat,” said Tammy Martin, VP, Marketing, Food and Merchandise, Tim Hortons. “From the all-Canadian star power on our judging panel, to the incredible finalists who went all out to defend their dough, to the thousands of Canadians who voted for our winner, thank you for taking part in this year’s contest. We look forward to seeing Jennifer Brown’s doughnut in restaurants in the coming months.”
The Love Reese’s to Pieces doughnut is made with a chocolate yeast base, filled with crème brûlée, covered in chocolate fondant and white dots, and topped with peanuts and peanut butter cup candy.
The doughnut received 47 per cent of contest votes.
