OAKVILLE, Ont. — Starting today through Aug. 1, doughnut fans can visit DuellingDonut.ca to design a Tim Hortons doughnut. Eight finalists will be flown to Tim Hortons’ head office in Oakville, Ont., to pitch their idea to a panel of celebrity judges.
“With over 63,000 entries in our inaugural Duelling Doughnut contest, we were amazed by the creativity of the entries, and we saw first-hand just how passionate our guests are about doughnuts,” said Tammy Martin,VP, Marketing, Food and Merchandise, Tim Hortons. “It inspired us to make year two of Tim Hortons Duelling Doughnuts bigger and better.”
The panel of judges, who will determine the four finalists to compete for the grand prize, includes Jann Arden, Anna Olson, Jason Priestley and Ben Mulroney. Canadians are invited to vote online for their favourite doughnut creation Aug. 18.
The winner will be awarded $10,000 cash and will have their doughnut added to the Tim Hortons’ menu later this year.
