TORONTO — Starting today, Tim Hortons customers will be able to pay for their coffee, breakfast, lunch or other menu items using Visa credit and prepaid cards across Canada.

“We’sre excited to be bringing the convenience, speed and security of Visa payments to Tim Hortons restaurants across the country,” said Jim Allhusen, Country Manager, Visa Canada.

“Having Canada’s most popular restaurant chain accept Visa reinforces the tremendous value that comes with Visa acceptance, while meeting consumer demand for payment choice at the register.”

Tim Card cardholders may also use either Visa or Visa Debit to reload their balance online at www.timhortons.com.

The company introduced debit payment in the Western provinces in 2003 while Interac payment has been an option at its stores since 2010.
