Tim Hortons Launches Mobile Order-and-Pay

OAKVILLE, Ont. — Tim Hortons has quietly launched its mobile order-and-pay option through the new Tim Hortons app available for iOS and Android.

The new app, launched on July 27, was originally scheduled to debut in March, but was delayed due to growing tension between the brand’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International, and franchisees.

According to MobileSyrup, the rollout of order-and-pay services will be staggered, but the app allows customers to search for nearby locations that support the option.

In addition to mobile order-and-pay, the Tim Hortons app features pick-up-method selection — including take out, dine in and drive-thru; scan-to-pay functions; a personalized menu based on past purchases; and targeted offers and promotions. Users of the chain’s TimmyMe app can also easily transfer their existing balance to the new app.
